To pay a deposit or post a guarantee for someone entering Canada, you must not already be in default on another guarantee you've signed, and you must have legal capacity to enter contracts in that province. If you're posting a guarantee (rather than paying cash), you must also be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident who is physically present and living in Canada.
