Period of validity

🍁 In Simple Terms

A permanent resident card is normally valid for five years from the date it's issued. If you're involved in active immigration proceedings — such as a removal order, an admissibility report, or an appeal — your card will only be valid for one year, reflecting the uncertainty of your status.
