🍁 En termes simples
If you're suspected of serious crimes like terrorism or organized crime, your refugee claim hearing will be put on hold while the Immigration Division looks into whether you should be barred from Canada. It can also be paused if a criminal court case involving you needs to finish first. Your refugee claim won't move forward until those other processes are resolved.
Affects: Refugee claimants and protected persons
