IRPRPART 8 Refugee ClassesDIVISION 1 Convention Refugees Abroad, Humanitarian-protected Persons Abroad and Protected Temporary Residents
r.142

Requirements — family members

Refugee Classes
🍁 In Simple Terms

For refugee resettlement, a person counts as your family member only if they were one when the application was made and still are when it is decided. The age lock-in rules in 25.1 soften this for children, but a relationship formed late in the process does not get you both across.

Affects: Refugee claimants and protected persons
