Making Canadian immigration law accessible to everyone
An educational resource that presents publicly available Canadian immigration law — IRPA, IRPR, and IRCC policy — in plain language.
Our Story
Built to make law understandable
Canadian immigration law is complex. IRPA, IRPR, and IRCC policy manuals span thousands of pages — written in dense legalese that even experienced professionals must interpret carefully.
One misunderstood section can mean a denied entry at the border, a wasted application fee, or months of delay. The law is publicly available — but “available” has never meant “accessible.”
ClearToEnter translates 575 sections of Canadian immigration law into plain language anyone can understand. We built the tools we wished existed when we first tried to understand Canadian immigration law.
ClearToEnter is an educational resource, not a consulting service. We help you understand the law that may apply to your situation. Only a CBSA officer at a port of entry can make admissibility decisions. For legal advice, always consult a licensed immigration lawyer or registered consultant.

Common Questions
Frequently asked questions
Is ClearToEnter a law firm or immigration consultancy?
No. ClearToEnter is an educational resource only. We present publicly available Canadian immigration law (IRPA, IRPR, and IRCC policy) in plain language. We are not lawyers or registered immigration consultants, and nothing on this platform constitutes legal advice. For advice specific to your situation, always consult a licensed immigration lawyer through your provincial law society.
Where does your information come from?
All content is derived from publicly available government sources: the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act (IRPA), the Immigration and Refugee Protection Regulations (IRPR), and IRCC policy manuals published on canada.ca. We do not use proprietary databases or private legal sources.
Do I need to create an account?
No. All free tools on ClearToEnter are completely anonymous — no account, no email, no login required. We designed the platform with privacy in mind from the start.
How are paid reports generated?
Your answers are analyzed by AI against all 9 IRPA inadmissibility sections, the Canadian Criminal Code, and immigration program requirements. For criminal records, AI performs a full equivalency test — mapping your foreign offence to the closest Canadian Criminal Code section and determining its IRPA classification. Every finding cites specific IRPA or IRPR sections you can verify yourself on canada.ca. Your data is processed in real-time and never stored.
