🍁 In Simple Terms

As a rule the study permit is applied for before you travel. Two exceptions exist, one for a short list of people who may apply at the border (214) and one for people already in Canada (215).

213 Subject to sections 214 and 215, in order to study in Canada, a foreign national shall apply for a study permit before entering Canada.
