Visitor

Work Permits
🍁 In Simple Terms

You are a visitor if you were authorized to enter and remain as one. Notice what does the work in that sentence: the authorization, not the sticker in the passport and not your intention. This is why status and documents are two different things.

Affects: Immigration applicants (economic, family, humanitarian)
Legal Text: IRPR Regulation 192

192 A foreign national is a visitor and a member of the visitor class if the foreign national has been authorized to enter and remain in Canada as a visitor.
