🍁 In Simple Terms

If the Minister asks for a formal inquiry into a Board member's conduct, the Governor in Council can appoint a superior court judge to carry out that inquiry — on the recommendation of the Minister of Justice.

178 On receipt of a request referred to in paragraph 177(c), the Governor in Council may, on the recommendation of the Minister of Justice, appoint a judge of a superior court to conduct an inquiry.
