TEER 5 occupations do not qualify for FSW. With Canadian work experience, you may qualify for CEC. Provincial Nominee Programs (PNP) may have streams for this occupation.
This occupation does not currently map to IRCC's category-based draw criteria.
Canadian employers can obtain an LMIA to hire a foreign worker for this occupation.
Many provinces have PNP streams that accept TEER 5 occupations. Alberta, BC, Ontario, and other provinces run occupation-specific draws.
Official Definition
Store shelf stockers, clerks and order fillers pack customers' purchases, price items, stock shelves with merchandise, and fill online, mail and telephone orders. They are employed in retail establishments, such as grocery, hardware and department stores, and in warehouses.
TEER 5 Explained
Occupations typically requiring short work demonstration or no formal educational requirement. These include entry-level manual, service, and labour occupations. Not eligible for Express Entry FSW, but LMIA work permits and PNP streams may be available.
Pathway note: Even though this NOC doesn't qualify for Express Entry FSW, you may still immigrate via: Canadian Experience Class (after 1 year of Canadian work), Provincial Nominee Program (PNP), or LMIA-based work permit with future PR pathway.
