TEER 1 occupations qualify for the Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSW) and Canadian Experience Class (CEC).
This occupation does not currently map to IRCC's category-based draw criteria.
Canadian employers can obtain an LMIA to hire a foreign worker for this occupation.
Many provinces have PNP streams that accept TEER 1 occupations. Alberta, BC, Ontario, and other provinces run occupation-specific draws.
Official Definition
Conductors, composers and arrangers conduct bands and orchestras, compose musical works and arrange instrumental and vocal compositions. They are employed by symphony and chamber orchestras, bands, choirs, sound recording companies, and orchestras for ballet and opera performances, or they may be self-employed.
