Applying to restore your status as a temporary resident requires a processing fee. People who apply for a work or study permit at the same time, as well as refugee claimants, those with protected person status, and several other groups, are exempt.

(1)305 (1) A fee of $100 is payable for processing an application under subsection 181(1).
