🍁 In Simple Terms

A person who receives a departure order (the least severe type of removal order) can voluntarily leave Canada within 30 days and confirm their departure. If they comply, the order is satisfied and they may be eligible to return. Failure to voluntarily comply escalates a departure order to a deportation order.

51 A removal order that has not been enforced becomes void if the foreign national becomes a permanent resident.
